The installation HYPERSKY by Clemens Weisshaar and Reed Kram is a 21st century digital fresco, seamlessly integrated into the entrance hall ceiling of a private residence. HYPERSKY is an augmented reality skylight, revealing the current weather conditions and air traffic above the house.
HYPERSKY does not require human interaction beyond observation. Each component of the installation provides the viewer with a further layer of reality that would otherwise remain unrevealed. By converting data into imagery, natural phenomena and man made objects combine into a multilayered visual collage of stars, wind flows, light patterns, airplanes and satellites in an unprecedented real time experience.
